Finnish Evening by the campfire
The Finnish way to relax
Everyone knows that Finns relax in the sauna...but there are also ways to do it with your clothes on!
In a Finnish evening, we spend time at hut (kota) by the campfire. Roasting sausages & marshmallows and enjoying drinks. You can make a walking trip to the nearby forest. Sometimes you can see the northern lights, sometimes only animal tracks. Still relaxing.
Don't take pressure from those famous northern lights, but spend time enjoying the company of those present. Or just sit quietly listening to your own thoughts. Staring into fire has a long tradition in Finland and it is guaranteed to clear your mind.
We will make the fire ready, you come as you are. A local guide will accompany you and will be happy to tell you stories about life in Lapland. A Finnish proverb says it already: "guests have two ways - to come and to leave". The duration of the Finnish evening is 1,5 hours.
