Riding Tour with Finnhorses at Santa Claus Village
The Finnhorse is a cooperative, sweet and reliable co-worker. On horseback you can experience the untouched nature of Lapland.
In autumn you can enjoy the colourful forest scenery with autumn foliage, in the winter you'll hear the snow crunch beneath the hooves as snowcovered trees bend above our trail. In the spring the bright sunshine will glisten on the snow and you can hear the song of the first migratory birds and feel the warmth of the sun. In the summertime our hairy co-workers will mostly by vacationing in the pastures, but sometimes we enjoy riding in the nightless night.
The tour includes the safety section and equipment, riding (about 30 minutes) and after riding we enjoy a warm drink and snacks in the hut, where the guide tells us more about Finnhorses at the same time.

Late Night Finnhorses Ride Experience
Experience the silence and atmosphere of Lapland on a guided evening horseback ride with gentle Finnhorses through the peaceful forests of Rovaniemi.
As daylight fades, the familiar forest takes on a completely different character. Snow-covered trees, soft moonlight and the steady sound of hooves create a calm and unforgettable atmosphere. Riding through the quiet forest allows you to experience Lapland at its most peaceful—away from artificial lights, engines and crowds.
Our slow-paced riding tour is suitable for both beginners and more experienced riders. Before setting off, your guide provides safety instructions and helps you become familiar with your Finnhorse. The riding portion lasts approximately 30 minutes, depending on weather and trail conditions.
After the ride, you can warm up by the campfire with a hot drink and a light evening snack while your guide shares stories about Finnhorses and life with horses in Lapland.

Farm Visit - Hug a Finnhorse
The Finnhorse is a unique breed that we try to protect. It is cooperative, trustworthy and extremely kind. We tell the story of the Finnhorse so that everyone understands its significance to us Finns. The versatility of the Finnhorse surprises most people, as it is currently used as a workhorse, trotting horse, in equestrian sports and in therapeutic use.
Our horses love grooming and hugs, cuddling and small treats. Even if you have never been in contact with horses before, in a short time you will notice why people all over the world spend hours with horses. You could listen to the peaceful neighing sound of eating hay alone forever, and a few hugs will transfer the warmth from the horse to you.
About 10 minutes horse riding included.
The content is intended for children under 12 years of age.
