Experience the Arctic night in one of the most authentic ways possible – on horseback with Finland’s national horse, the Finnhorse.

Your evening begins at our stable, where you will meet your guide and get to know your horse. Before heading out, we take time for a gentle warm-up and go through the necessary riding and safety instructions to make sure everyone feels comfortable and prepared for the adventure ahead.

Once ready, we set off into the peaceful forests of Lapland. The horseback ride lasts approximately 1.5–2 hours, taking you through the quiet Arctic landscape beneath the northern sky. Experience the stillness of the forest, the sound of the horses moving along the trail and the unique atmosphere of a winter night in Lapland.

Along the way, we keep our eyes on the sky in the hope of seeing the Northern Lights. As the aurora is a natural phenomenon, sightings can never be guaranteed – but the experience of exploring the Arctic night on horseback is magical in itself.

After returning to the stable, it is time to warm up in our cosy traditional kota. Gather around the fire and enjoy a warm drink and light snacks while sharing the memories of your evening.
